Straight Lake State Park

Visit Straight Lake and enjoy “the kind of nobody-else-is-here quiet you don’t usually find at a state park” (Star Tribune). Enjoy miles of hiking trails or bring a canoe and paddle the lake. Make sure to pack a lunch because it will take all day to explore this glacier-carved treasure.
McKenzie Creek Wildlife Area

Trade River / Governor Knowles Horse Trails

Consists of 40 miles of marked and maintained horse trails just east of the St. Croix River. Have a horse? Nordlys is building two walk-in stalls with a two acre pasture (coming 2022). Contact us for more information.
